FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS -How many chips will I get with the basic entry fee of $65? You will receive 6,000 chips for the basic $65 entry fee. -What is the benefit of purchasing the re-buy package for $115? By purchasing the re-buy package in advanced you will double your chips for a total of 12,000 in chips plus you will save $15. -What if I wait till the day of the tournament to purchase the re-buy? You will have 1 hour to purchase the re-buy the day of the tournament to double your chips from the time each seating starts (roughly 1pm or 6pm). Though the price will increase from $50 to $65 for 6,000 chips. No rebuys allowed in final round. -Who benefits from the proceeds of the tournament? A portion of the tournament proceeds go to benefit MDA and other local charities Champaign firefighters support in and around our community. -How do I make it to the final round of 20? To make it to the final round you must be in the top 10 of your seating session by chip count at the end of 4hrs.of play. If two or more players are tied they will play one or more additional hands to break the tie.
How long are the playing sessions?
The first session will begin at 12pm sharp and end at 4:00pm, registration will open at 10:30. It is recommended you arrive early. The second seating will begin at 5pm sharp and end at 9pm. Registration for the second seating will open all day. The final round of the top 20 will play from 9:30pm- until 1AM The final round should be over before 1:00am, but if it is not they will play three more hands and determine the tournament placing by chip count. -Will cash games be available? Yes cash game tables will be available throughout the day. Offering multiple buy in’s and various cash games will be available.. Come and go at any time between noon and 1am WIN CASH -Will there be food and beverages? Yes food and beverages (including alcohol) will be available throughout the day to purchase. -Is there an ATM on site? Yes there is an ATM available on site. -What happens if there is a discrepancy in play, or the tournament? Floor managers will be on site to ensure the tournament is run fair, and smoothly. Local 1260 reserves the right to have the final say in any incident that occurs during the Tournament. In addition, paid security will be on site for additional issues that may arise. How many seats will there be per table? There will be 10 seats per table for a total of 25 tables and a maximum of 250 players per session. -How old do I need to be to be able to play You must be 18 years of age and have a valid Drivers license or photo ID to participate in Champaign Firefighter's Local 1260 Tournament. Players must be 21 years of age at the time of the World Series of Poker to participate in that tournament in Las Vegas. |
